Day 3.
Today we were supposed to go sightseeing with the Börjessons sightseeing bus. When we left home it was pouring down and Paz & Paco Padre got to inaugurate their new raincoats. We made the obligatory visit to Systembolaget and thereafter we took Älvsnabben in to town. They loved to tour. When we arrived in Lilla Bommen we had a cup of coffee to warm up because we were suffering from the bad weather. Pakko-Raffa got a new raincoat for present since he was getting wet. Later on we had lunch (very very late) at Källarporten. We missed the sightseeing bus since the last one left at 17.00. We passed Domkyrkan and Feskekôrka on the way home. The weather changed rapidly and the sun shone when strolled home.

Another visit from Spain
Tomorrow afternoon arrives Paco's parents "Paco Padre" and Paz. This will be their first visit in Sweden. These are the things I want to do while they are here: sightseeing tour on Paddan, stroll around in the city, have picnic in Slottskogen, have lunch with Hannes, Agneta & Nils, visit the archipelago, have a shrimp sandwich at the Gothia Towers, go up to see my parents in Jämtland including having a crayfish party, go up to Åkersjön, visiting the Geology House in Lockne, visit the Hoverberg's Cave and much more. Do you think we'll have time for all this in two weeks???

Listening to audio books
What a good idea listening to audio books. I'm now on my 2nd book, Harry Potter and the Secret Chamber. I can listen to it while I do lots of other (boring) stuff as clean, cook, iron etc. I have already read the books (I-VI) but I wanted to read them again before reading the last one (VII). By the way, we saw the 5th movie yesterday and as the other Harry Potter movies they have managed to recreate the environment very well but the story feels a bit "thin". I give it 6/10.

New project at work
Since Monday the 6th of August I'm consulting at Ericsson. My duties will be to test a system called CoordCom. This system is sold to SOS Alarm (Sweden), STS (Hungary), 112 (Spain), FRS (England). My contract is on 3 months so I will be working there until November the 2nd. Hopefully it will lead to more advanced tasks. To get to work I have a 40 min bike ride. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I start this new project with 2 weeks of vacation :-)

R.I.P Ivar
Thank you for the little time we got together Ivar. I'm so sorry you have to face this end.
Today they are picking Ivar up to take him to the junkyard because of a leak in the gas deposit. Since he is so old, almost 20 years old, there is no use to fix him they say.

Today we are so tired
but we managed to get in to the center. Pepe & Vicen had to buy a suit case (they have shopped to much!!!). We had an ice cream and walked home along the canal, through Haga, Linnéstan and Slottskogen. When we got home we had a Siesta (for 2 hours??!!). Paco fixed a Spanish dinner; calamares, gambas, capellan, patatas a lo pobre, ensalada. Moltes Gràcies!!!
Now I'm so tired and will get straight to bed. Good night!!!

More birthday
Paco, this cake is so beautiful and it tasted GREAT!!! I hope I'll get to try more in the future.
These are the fine gifts I got on my birthday. A basket for the bike, lights for the bike, reflex for the bike, a book (Vindens Skugga by Carlos Ruiz Zafón), a wallet, 3 t-shirts and a bathroom mat. Very nice and useful things. Thank you a lot Paco, Pepe & Vicen.I got off early from work since we were invited to lunch/dinner by Hanne's mother Agneta. We were supposed to take Ivar to Kärna (in Kungälvs kommun) but we realized he leaked gasoline so we didn't dare take him. I phoned several car repair shops but they could not pick Ivar up until Monday. Unfortunately I had parked him on the street where the maximum time to park are 2 hours. I phoned the parking company and asked them to be nice to him and not give him a parking fine until Monday when they hopefully will tow him away to the garage. We'll see if they have been nice to him. One hour later we took the tram to the center and there we switched to another tram that took us to Hisingen. Agnetas husband picked us up there, lucky us.
Agneta had made Jansson's Frestelse and meetballs. It was delicious. For dessert we had Paco's chocolate cake with ice cream and red currants.
Around 19 we left to go back to town since Ali was throwing a party for Hannes.

Happy birthday to meeeee
Thank you sooooo much for the felicitation. I received this photo from my sister Martina and her family. They are celebrating their vacations in their mountain house and they sent me this photo on the cell phone. The poster says "Grattis Maggan" (Happy Birthday Maggan). Thank you soooo much.
I made this cake for my work mates. Since we are so few at the office I invited Bosse the CEO as well ;-)
This morning Paco made breakfast for me and he gave me so nice gifts. I will report on that in the next post. He also prepared his first cake (ever) yesterday (from scratch). Photos on the cake will also be posted later.

Dinner at Heaven 23
On Monday evening we had dinner at Gothia Towers after an exhausting shopping trip to IKEA. We had the famous King Size "Räkmacka" (Rye bread with shrimps, egg and mayonnaise). It was absolutely delicious. I can really recommend it.
