Promoting my sister

I keep on promoting my sister. It's going so well for her and I'm so proud. Take a look at this exhibition on Cobertura (Seville, Spain). Look under the title "pictures" and you'll find Monika Lundholm. I though have to warn about some nude photos. ;-)

Culinary Competition

Last night we went to a party at some friends' house. The theme of the night was : Culinary Competition. Each person had to bring a plate . We were about 20-25 people. After tasting all of them we voted for the best dish and best dessert. Pakko-Raffa brought a cheese pie and I tiramisu. We did not win anything. Check out the dish in the green bowl (with the bananas). It's a cuban dish called Cuban Claw or something like that. Certainly my favourite.

Visit from "Herrgårdsfolket" of Ekudden

Last weekend we had a special visit from the forests of Småland. Monika, my sister, was here with two friends. Monika and I had a lovely Saturday starting with a walk in Slottsskogen, some shopping and then a coffee break at a French place.

More about Serge.se

I can't help it, I'm so proud of my sister. I announced the inauguration of the net magazine Serge.se last week and last Saturday there was an article in the metropolitan newspaper Smålandsposten about the creators. And of course she's one of them. Monika I worship you!

A weekend trip to Värmland

Last Friday we went to Molkom (Värmland) with our friends Sigge, Lillemor, Annica, Mattias, Malin och Peter. Sigge has a house there and we spent the whole weekend eating, drinking, walking, sauna and fishing (not me).

We visited Brattforsheden and Brattfors hytta, two beautiful places worth a visit. Brattforsheden has a lots of kettle holes (=dödisgrop); a result of the last ice age. Brattforsen has a smelting-house and beautful surroundings. Black ground, colored leaves, wild water and lots of fresh air. Could a weekend be better?

My new training shoes

As a birthday gift (in August) my parents gave some money to buy me a pair of training shoes. My old ones I've had for seven years. Not good!!! I bought the same model since I was so satisified. I inaugurated them last Sunday when I went to a step up class. They feel very good on my feet.

Book Circle

I'm so excited!!! I'm joining a newly started book circle. Our first book is called "Tätt intill dagarna" by Mustafa Can. Next time we will meet is the 22th of November. I'll tell you more about this after our first meeting.

The Exile Family Movie

The best documentary I've ever seen. Widh and I went to the opening of the Exile Film Festival and it was absolutely the best three hours of this week. This festival is arranged every other two years and this is the 8th time. The documentary was outstanding. If you have a chance to see it you should. They screen it one more time during the festival. On Wednesday at 14.00 I believe.

"An Iranian family living in political exile in Europe and America decides to organize a secret meeting with the rest of the family still living in Iran whom they haven't seen for nearly two decades. Despite all the dangers, the long awaited, tearful reunion takes place after 20 years of separation in Saudi Arabia and proves to be a huge culture clash"

The director of the movie, Arash T. Riahi, was there to comment the movie afterwards and we got very surprised when we realized that even his father and aunt was there. We were deeply moved.

Work meeting at Åby Trav

This afternoon we've had our monthly work meeting. Every month we meet, eat and often we go to somewhere special. To a restaurant, the movie theater, excursion, etc... This time we went to a racing track for trotting. A man took us around explaining how the trotting world works. Afterwards we had dinner and of course we played on horses (and lost).

Busy week

I'm only taking a 3 minutes break to update the blog. I have lots to do at work and I'm very happy about that. I think its fun to go to work and that is a lovely feeling. This week is a bit hectic though. Maria stayed over yesterday since she has a conference in town today. We went to Maharani, an indian restaurant, and I had a delicious lamb plate (Chanders lamb special: Succulent cubes of lamb cooked in Chander’s special sauce consisting of ginger, coconut, green mango, garlic, chilli, onion and coriander).

Tonight I have ashtanga yoga at Andas. Tomorrow I have a dinner date with Skåne-Sara, I haven't seen her since I moved back to Gothenburg. Shame on us!!! On Thursday I have a work meeting (including dinner) and on Friday night I have dinner/movie date with Anna Widh. We are thinking of visiting the exile film festival.
